Archbishop Bagrat sings Armenian folk song on slopes of Mt. Khustup
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Tavush for the Homeland protest movement, and his supporters on Saturday climbed Mount Khustup in Syunik Province to visit Armenian statesman and military commander Garegin Nzhdeh's grave.
The cleric offered a prayer for the repose of souls there.
In a video on social media, Galstanyan can be heard singing “Goghtni Knark”, an Armenian folk song, near Nzhdeh's grave.
The archbishop and his supporters next headed to the border village of Nerkin Hand.
Galstanyan, who is leading the effort to oust Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and to halt his government's unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan, began a three-day visit to Syunik on Friday to meet with local residents.
