Midfielder Hovhannes Harutyunyan returns to Sochi
The term of loan of FC Pyunik midfielder Hovhannes Harutyunyan has ended and the footballer is going back to Russian FC Sochi, the club reported on Saturday.
Harutyunyan played in different age groups of the Pyunik academy and in 2016 made his debut in its main team.
The midfielder made his contribution to Pyunik's 16th championship last season. Hovhannes scored 11 goals and 3 assists in the autumn part of the season. After returning from the Russian club, Harutyunyan scored 3 goals and 4 assists in 14 games.
After moving to Pyunik, Harutyunyan was invited to the Armenia national team for the first time and gradually strengthened his position in the national team. He was also included in the top five of the Best Player of Armenia according to the voting in 2022.
"We thank Harutyunyan and wish him success in his career," the club said in a statement.
