'We won't retreat', says Armenian protest leader
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Tavush for the Homeland protest movement, insists on unrelenting efforts to oust Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and to halt his government's unilateral territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.
“This struggle continues unabated and did not begin accidentally,” he told supporters in Armenia’s Syunik Province on Saturday.
“We’re fighting against evil, against those who bring misfortune and death,” the cleric said.
Galstanyan again hit out at Pashinyan for Armenia’s casualties and territorial losses during his rule.
“We won't retreat because it would clear the way for the country's collapse,” he added.
