Armenian, Turkish special envoys to reportedly meet on Tuesday
A meeting between the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey will take place on Tuesday, a diplomatic source has told NEWS.am.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Armenian-Turkish border, presumably at Armenia’s Margara checkpoint.
No official statement on the meeting has been released as of yet.
On June 11, Ruben Rubinyan, a deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament and Armenia’s special envoy for the normalization of relations with Turkey, said an agreement on a meeting between him and his Turkish counterpart Serdar Kilic had been reached, adding they were yet to decide on its date and place.
Rubinyan noted that the Margara Bridge on the Armenian-Turkish border had already been renovated and was ready for operation.
