Armenia to replace ambassador to Russia
Armenia’s ambassador to Russia will be replaced, National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan said on Friday.
"I hope we will soon have a new ambassador to the Russian Federation," he told a joint press conference with members of a U.S. congressional delegation led by Senator Roger Wicker in Yerevan.
"The candidacy has been submitted with the appointment pending approval," Simonyan added, urging reporters to reach out to the Foreign Ministry for further comments.
Media reporters suggest that Gurgen Arsenyan, an MP from Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party, is set to replace Vagharshak Harutyunyan as Armenian ambassador to Russia.
