Opposition MP accuses Armenian ruling party of misleading people
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan accused members of Armenia’s ruling Civil Contact party of misleading the people following the unilateral handover of border villages in Tavush Province to Azerbaijan.
In a social media post on Monday, Abrahamyan claimed the latest trip of Civil Contact MPs to Tavush was aimed at justifying the land surrender.
“It’s a common practice for Civil Contract members to portray a surrender, failure and concession as a victory with such enthusiasm as if they have done a great favor to the Armenian nation,” the deputy wrote.
“When you filter it all out, the people who have lost their lands, property, security and a deceived society remain ultimately," he added.
