
Armenian authorities probe crash involving demobilized soldiers
Armenian authorities are investigating a fatal crash involving demobilized servicemen in Armenia’s Syunik Province.
The Investigative Committee said that the accident occurred on the Yerevan-Meghri highway near the Gorayk settlement on Thursday morning. According to preliminary data, the demobilized soldiers were travelling to Yerevan by taxi.
The crash left two people, including the driver killed, and five others injured.
The law-enforcement agency said that two wounded men were in severe condition.
A criminal case has been launched into the violation of road safety rules under Article 342.3 of Armenia’s Penal Code.
