Armenian deputy speaker says issues in relations with Russia remain
Hakob Arshakyan, a deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament, pointed to persisting issues in Armenia’s relations with Russia at a press briefing on Friday.
“I am the co-chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee on Cooperation between the National Assembly of Armenia and the Russian Federal Assembly. We have a format of contacts, which has slightly changed,” he told reporters.
Arshakyan noted that he recently visited Russia at the invitation of his colleague. "The discussions are open and transparent in all spheres. We have repeatedly stated that there are issues in our relations with Russia and we seek clarifications on them. They concern the CSTO activities, the implementation of international treaties, Armenia's security environment, as well as the fulfillment and non-fulfillment of the November 9 agreement terms,” he explained.
