Deputy parliament speaker comments on Armenian-Azeri border delimitation
The border delimitation process aims to ensure the return of Armenian territories to Armenia and Azerbaijani territories to Azerbaijan, Hakob Arshakyan, a deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament, told reporters on Friday.
In response to a question about which territories were returned to Armenia as part of the delimitation process, Arshakyan said: "I'd not like to make any further comments at this stage, I don't think it will contribute to the border delimitation and demarcation process.”
“At the first stage, the delimitation was carried out in the areas that included unpopulated settlements. In the next phase, there are no more such settlements,” the speaker stated.
“If the process is fully implemented, all Armenian territories will be returned to Armenia and Azerbaijani territories to Azerbaijan," Arshakyan assured.
He claimed that the border delimitation commission continued its activities as normal.
