Armenian, Georgian defense ministers sign cooperation plan
After the welcoming ceremony at the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, a tête-à-tête conversation took place between Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and his Georgian counterpart Irakli Chikovani on Friday. This was followed by a meeting with the extended delegations, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the current level of cooperation was highly valued. Issues related to Armenia-Georgia cooperation in the field of defense and regional security were discussed.
The parties also presented details regarding the ongoing army reforms in both countries.
“At the end of the meeting, the defense ministers signed the 2024 cooperation plan between the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the Georgian Ministry of Defense,” the statement read.
