Opposition MP: Armenia was also supposed to get open roads to outside world
Opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan highlights that Armenia was also supposed to get open roads to the outside world as part of a scheme to unblock regional communications.
“When the matter of unblocking communications was first put into circulation, it was about opening all regional roads,” Abrahamyan, who represents the opposition Pativ Unem faction, wrote on Facebook on Monday.
“However, through the efforts of Turkey and Azerbaijan and as a result of Yerevan’s defeatist and conciliatory policy, the international community now treats it as an issue of the "Zangezur corridor”.
“Apart from the fact that the Turanian political leaders are trying to turn the road into a corridor by all means, no one seems to remember today that Armenia was also supposed to get open roads to the outside world,” he said.
