Armenian, Lebanese FMs discuss regional security
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Abdallah Bou Habib in New York on July 16.
The officials discussed issues of regional stability and security, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
Views were exchanged on recent developments and the security situation in the South Caucasus and Middle East.
"Ararat Mirzoyan presented Armenia’s efforts aimed at reaching durable peace in the region, the existing challenges on the path of implementation of the peace agenda as well as the work undertaken towards signing the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the importance of its signing in the nearest timeframe," the Foreign Ministry said in its readout.
The two ministers also touched upon the bilateral agenda as well as the engagements on multilateral formats.
