Opposition MP slams Pashinyan's decision to take month-long vacation
Opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan decried Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s decision to go on vacation for a month amid the security challenges facing the country.
Pashinyan will be on vacation from July 15 to August 12, his office reported.
In a social media post on Wednesday, Abrahamyan highlighted the Foreign Ministry statement warning of a possible Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia after the COP29 summit in Baku in November.
“Meanwhile, the country’s commander-in-chief is going on vacation for about a month a few weeks after the new war warning,” the MP wrote, accusing the Armenian government of “irresponsibility, inaction and adventurism.”
“Either the authorities are preparing the people for a new ordeal by threatening them with war, or the country’s leader is busy cycling and traveling instead of taking necessary measures and working out an action plan to combat the impending catastrophe, once again leaving the state to the mercy of fate,” he added.
