Armenian diplomat: Aliyev regime propaganda tries to 'turn the reality upside down'
Armenian Ambassador to Belgium Tigran Balayan on Thursday accused the Azerbaijani regime of attempts to "turn the reality upside down" following its claims that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan rejected a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the UK.
The two leaders are in the UK for a summit of the European Political Community.
"As usual the Aliyev regime propaganda uselessly tries to turn the reality upside down," Balayan said in a post on X.
"Armenia has suggested and still ready to organize a meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the EPC summit," the diplomat added, sharing a statement issued by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
