Azerbaijan continues large-scale weapons purchases amid its false peace plan, opposition MP Tigran Abrahamyan warns.

“Azerbaijan proceeds with massive arms purchases, but mostly refrains from revealing details about their types and quantity,” he wrote on Facebook on Thursday, adding Israel remains the major source of Azerbaijan's arms imports.

“Naturally, media outlets repeatedly report about Azerbaijan's arms deals with other countries as well, including its traditional allies Turkey and Pakistan as well as European countries,” the MP said.

“Anyway, Azerbaijan has no plans to stop and is actively arming itself along with its false peace-loving assurances,” Abrahamyan added.
