Victims of Armenian military plane crash identified
The Armenian Defense Ministry has identified the two victims of a military aircraft crash.
The Yak-52 aircraft crashed near the town of Yeghvard in Kotayk Province while on a training flight on Friday morning, killing its crew of two.
“Senior Lieutenant Armen Isakhanyan and cadet Armen Khachatryan were killed as a result of the training plane crash,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement, offering its condolences to the victims' families and fellow servicemen.
The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
