Armenian authorities probing military aircraft crash
Armenia’s law-enforcement authorities have launched a criminal investigation into the fatal military plane crash.
The Interior Ministry said that the Yak-52 aircraft crashed near the town of Yeghvard in Kotayk Province on Friday morning, killing its crew of two.
The plane was on a training flight. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.
The Investigative Committee says that it has opened a criminal probe into the violation of safety rules.
Investigators remain at the crash site.
