ICRC reps visit former Artsakh leaders held in Azerbaijan
In July, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representatives again visited Artsakh's former leaders being held in Azerbaijan.
ICRC Azerbaijan office spokesperson Ilaha Huseynova told APA on Monday that they were met in private and were given the possibility to exchange family news.
During such visits, the ICRC assesses the detention conditions and helps the detainees restore and maintain contact with their families.
The Artsakh political prisoners held by Baku include former Presidents Arayik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan and Arkady Ghukasyan, former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, former presidential advisor David Babayan, last Artsakh parliament speaker David Ishkhanyan, as well as former Artsakh army commander Levon Mnatsakanyan and former deputy commander David Manukyan.
