'A smart move': Armenian analyst weighs in on Biden's withdrawal from 2024 race
Armenian political analyst Suren Sargsyan praised U.S. President Joe Biden’s “smart” decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race.
In a social media post on Sunday, Biden announced that he would stand down from his reelection bid, offering his full support and endorsement to Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party's presidential nominee.
“Biden made a very smart move,” Sargsyan wrote on Facebook on Monday, adding it was fair to his party and the American people.
"Biden is an accomplished politician with a long track record. If he had been elected president at a younger age, he could have been one of the best and most beloved presidents in the U.S. history,” the analyst added.
Sargsyan stated that Harris can seriously challenge Donald Trump in the presidential elections in November, adding NATO and EU would also get behind her.
“Harris’ nomination is also a major headache for Trump as the entire liberal wing will rally around her, creating a strong wave. NATO and EU will fully support her. In fact, Trump is going to fight half the world,” he said.
