Armenian opera singer Anna Nshanyan dies in U.S.
Armenian soprano Anna Nshanyan, who made a major contribution to the Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet with many years of activity, passed away untimely in the United States, the theater broke the news on Facebook on Wednesday.
Anna Nshanyan started working at the theater in 1959, performing many opera roles.
The opera singer was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Armenia, as well as a USSR certificate of honor and a gold medal of Armenia’s Ministry of Culture.
In 1980, Nshanyan moved to the U.S., where she continued her concert career and was honored with a number of awards, including the title of Famous Opera Singer.
