Armenia's Haik Martirosyan wins silver at Biel Chess Festival 2024
Leading Armenian chess player Haik Martirosyan finished second and won a silver medal at the Biel Chess Festival 2024, the Armenian Chess Federation reported on Friday.
The tournament took place from July 13 to 26 in Biel, Switzerland, with the participation of 6 grandmasters.
GM Liem Le had wrapped up victory a day earlier, while GM Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu bounced back from his loss the day before to score a convincing win over GM Abhimanyu Mishra and end the 2024 Biel Chess Festival in third place.
