Expert comments on upcoming Armenia-Turkey meeting
Turkey will put forward more preconditions for the alleged opening of its shared border with Armenia at the upcoming meeting, says Varuzhan Geghamyan, a geopolitical strategist and regional security expert.
Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kilic, the special representatives of Armenia and Turkey for the normalization of bilateral relations, will hold their fifth meeting on the border on Tuesday, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
“I believe no breakthrough will be achieved if the meeting takes place. Turkey will just put forward more preconditions under the guise of "opening the border"," Geghamyan wrote on Facebook on Monday.
