Armenian expert says new war brewing in Middle East
A new war is brewing in the Middle East region with its epicenter in Lebanon, which will affect the South Caucasus, claims Varuzhan Geghamyan, a geopolitical strategist and regional security expert.
In a social media post on Sunday, Geghamyan also warned of Turkey’s increasing diplomatic and military pressure on Armenia to open the so-called “Zangezur corridor” via Syunik Province using Azerbaijan.
“Ankara and Baku seek to achieve it in the next few months before the end of this year,” he wrote.
“Russian-Turkish relations have slightly cooled with a tendency to tension. In autumn, Georgia is expected to face a fierce geopolitical rivalry as the parliamentary elections in the country will not be just elections," Geghamyan added.
