Armenian students win 4 bronze medals at International Chemistry Olympiad
Armenian school students secured 4 bronze medals at the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on July 21-30.
The competition brought together 327 contestants from 88 countries, the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reported.
The Armenian team included Arman Kharatyan (11th grader) and Artavazd Arabachyan (12th grader) from Vanadzor Special School of Advanced Studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Quantum College student Sergey Tadevosyan (12th grader) and Sevan High School student Beniamin Hayrapetyan (12th grader).
Their coach was Andranik Davinyan, a research fellow at the Scientific and Technological Center of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
Armenia won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals at the 55th International Chemistry Olympiad.
