Yerevan authorities spent $900,000 on public park
The Yerevan Municipality spent $900,000 on the construction of a public park in central Yerevan, Factor.am reports.
The media outlet has revealed that the municipal authorities paid 214,000 drams for one thuja tree, almost ten times more than its market value.
Panorama.am previously reported that thujas in the park adjacent to St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral had withered.
“A two-meter tall thuja costs ֏25,000 in the market. Moreover, we've recorded that the height of the planted trees does not even reach two meters. According to the contract, the total price of thujas amounted to ֏8,572,000,” the report says.
