Vardan Voskanyan: 'Middle East lion' calmly planning its actions
Iran is calmly planning its actions in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas’s political leader Ismail Haniyeh amid fears, uncertainly and secret talks between the world leaders, says Vardan Voskanyan, a Yerevan-based expert on Iran.
"Meanwhile, the "Middle Eastern lion" is calmly planning its actions, confident in his strength and capabilities, realizing that in this totally unjust world only the strong are respected and reckoned with,” he said in a social media post on Tuesday.
“Barely 40 years ago, this ancient state, which did not even have a single missile of its own, is now a superpower in missiles, almost a nuclear state that has a large-scale network of the best satellite forces and structures in the region, and perhaps globally.
“You can like, dislike and even hate Iran, but it is impossible not to respect it, just as it is impossible not to worry and avoid its revenge," Voskanyan penned.
