Armenian students win five medals at International Mathematics Competition
Armenian students earned 4 gold and 1 silver medals at the 31st International Mathematics Competition for University Students held in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, from August 5-11.
The event brought together 401 students from 78 universities around the world.
Vahagn Hovhannisyan, Hayk Karapetyan, Arman Fahradyan and Ruben Hambardzumyan from Yerevan State University won gold medals, while Hamlet Petrosyan claimed a silver medal.
Yerevan State University finished eight in the medal table.
The Armenian team of students was led by Karen Keryan and coached by Karen Keryan, Vazgen Mikayelyan, Albert Gevorgyan and Tigran Hakobyan.
