Deputy minister: Only 49.5% of arable lands cultivated in Armenia
Only 49.5% of arable lands are cultivated n Armenia currently, Deputy Minister of Economy Tatevik Sargsyan said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a news conference, the official highlighted the state support programs aimed at making the uncultivated lands suitable for farming.
Sargsyan assured that the volumes of cultivated lands were increasing, as evidenced by the outcome of the spring sowing program.
"More than 14,000 hectares of lands will have been cultivated by the end of the year under this program," the deputy minister added.
