Quake damaged dozens of buildings in Armenian village
The August 12 earthquake in Armenia's Gegharkunik Province damaged 82 buildings, including homes, a school and a kindergarten, in the village of Yeranos, Interior Ministry spokesperson Narek Sargsyan said on Wednesday.
The 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck nine kilometers northwest of the town of Martuni early on Monday.
The quake left cracks in the walls of 56 houses in Yeranos.
Two houses, a school and a church in the villages of Tsovasar and Tsakkar also sustained damage in the earthquake.
Sargsyan said damage assessment was underway.
