Former officials reportedly tied with Mikayel Minasyan plan to launch new party
The names of two of them are connected with Serzh Sargsyan's son-in-law, Mikayel Minasyan, according to the publication.
Former RA MP Arman Tatoyan, former SRC chairman Davit Ananyan, and producer Ruben Mkhitaryan are planning to launch a new party in the near future, which may initially be presented as an initiative, reports the "Hraparak" daily.
The newspaper noted that Ruben Mkhitaryan is a close associate of Mikayel Minasyan, the former RA ambassador to the Holy See and the son-in-law of third President Serzh Sargsyan. The former MP Tatoyan's name is also connected with Mikayel Minasyan.
"For more than three months, the trio has been engaged in active discussions to introduce a new team of technocrats into the Armenian political landscape. It is possible that they will announce the new formation in the fall. At the same time, the names of at least two of them are associated with Mikayel Minasyan, the son-in-law of the third president of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, who is currently facing renewed criminal prosecution," the publication states.
It is noteworthy that amidst these developments, the government revived old accusations against Mikayel Minasyan two days ago, coinciding with news of political agitation.
