Gevorg Grigoryan is first Armenian citizen to conquer Victory Peak
Actor Gevorg Grigoryan has become the first Armenian citizen to successfully conquer the Victory Peak, the highest mountain in the Tian Shan mountain range at 7,439 meters which lies on the China–Kyrgyzstan border.
The actor shared photos and a video on social media on Wednesday.
“Currently, it is considered one of notoriously difficult and dangerous summits to conquer. The ascent took 7 days, while the descent lasted 4 days. It was 11 days of struggle not so much for conquering the summit as for life,” he wrote, adding that one of the female climbers died on the way.
