Police officers swear at protesting villagers in Armenia, detain them
Residents of Kasakh, a village in the Nairi community of Armenia’s Kotayk Province, on Tuesday blocked the Ashtarak-Yerevan highway to protest Nairi community head Norayr Sargsyan’s decision regarding land plots owned by them.
Riot police removed one of the road-blocking vehicles. A video also showed them using force to detain the protesting villagers and swearing at them.
One of the officers explained that the protesters were rounded up for disrupting the free movement of people.
