Exert warns of Azeri preparation for fresh attack on Armenia
Varuzhan Geghamyan, a geopolitical strategist and regional security expert, has warned of a possible Azerbaijani attack on Armenia.
Geghamyan pointed to latest false Azeri accusations of ceasefire violations by the Armenian military on the Nakhichevan border.
“These statements from Baku, which go almost unnoticed in our public agenda, are factually key episodes of a total war being waged against Armenia,” he wrote on Telegram on Friday.
“In all probability, they are part of Azerbaijan’s efforts to provide a legal foundation for a military offensive against Tigranashen (on the Ararat-Vayots Dzor border line),” the expert said.
He stated that Azerbaijan also seeks more concessions from Armenia through diplomatic pressure.
“The apparent peace, which has embraced the public, could soon “unexpectedly” turn into another nightmare. The only tool to stop it is in the hands of people,” Geghamyan added.
