Armenian authorities had 9 months to prevent Azeri attack on Artsakh, MP say
The Armenian authorities and the international community could have prevented the Azerbaijani attack on Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and its subsequent takeover in September 2023, opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan says.
“Looking through my posts in July, August and September 2023, it was visible to the naked eye that Azerbaijan would launch an attack after depleting Artsakh through blockade,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
“The Armenian authorities and international actors had 9 months from the beginning of the blockade to prevent Azerbaijani aggression, but they failed to do it.
“Everyone knew that Azerbaijan was going to attack, but today instead of bearing responsibility, the main perpetrators are busy hiding their crimes and putting the blame onto others through various mechanisms,” Abrahamyan added.
