Armenian, Tajik Foreign Ministries hold political consultations
Political consultations were held between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Tajikistan at the level of heads of structural divisions on Saturday.
The Armenian delegation was led by Head of the Department of International Treaties and Law Nelly Saroyan and Head of Department of the Eurasian Region Zhirayr Ananyan. The delegation of Tajikistan was led by Head of the CIS Countries Department Ahmad Saidmurodzoda and Head of the Legal and Treaty Department Parviz Sodiki, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
During the consultations, the parties thoroughly reviewed current issues of bilateral relations in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian, and other areas. The counterparts exchanged views on cooperation within the framework of international and regional structures.
The Armenian side also touched upon the Crossroads of Peace project initiated by the country's government, which is aimed at ensuring lasting peace and economic development in the South Caucasus region based on the principles of respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
