Armenian women's team scores 5th victory at 45th Chess Olympiad
The Armenian national women's team scored the fifth victory in a row at the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad.
In the 5th round of the olympiad on Sunday, the women's team beat the Chinese team with a score of 2.5-1.5, then Armenian Chess Federation reported.
IM Lilit Mkrtchian and IM Anna Sargsyan won their games.
In the first three rounds, the Armenian women's team beat the team of Trinidad and Tobago (4-0), the Mexican team (4-0), the Hungarian B team (3-1) and the Vietnam team (3-1).
In the 5th round, the men's team beat the Swedish team with a score of 2.5-1.5.
GM Gabriel Sargissian brought the winning point to the team.
In the first three rounds, the Armenian men's team beat the Maltese team (4-0), the Andorran team (3-1) and the Brazilian team (3-1), losing to the Chinese team (1.5-2.5) in the fourth round.
