Court hearing on Hrayr Tovmasyan's trial postponed
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction in the Kentron district on Tuesday was set to continue hearings on the trial of former justice minister and Constitutional Court chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan.
Tovmasyan was supposed to continue his defense speech, but he fell sick before the hearing.
The court hearing had to be postponed to Wednesday, September 18.
Tovmasyan, who was removed from his post as Constitutional Court chair following constitutional amendments in 2020 but continued to serve as a judge, has been charged with abuse of power related to alleged real estate fraud strongly denied by him as politically motivated.
