Pashinyan doesn't rule out natural gas imports from Azerbaijan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan says Armenia could consider importing natural gas from Azerbaijan after the possible conclusion of a bilateral peace agreement.
“We import gas from Russia and Iran. Some time ago, Azerbaijan announced that in case of peace in the future, Armenia could import gas from Azerbaijan as well,” Pashinyan said at the Second Global Armenian Summit on Wednesday.
“If we assume that a transit gas pipeline passes through the territory of Armenia to Nakhichevan or Turkey, these options cannot be ruled out either,” he added.
Pashinyan highlighted that “there is no energy independent country in the world”.
