No decision yet on next stage of Armenian-Azeri border delimitation, official says
No decision has yet been made on the next stage of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation process, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said on Friday.
“Domestic procedures related to the regulations are yet to be completed,” he told reporters at Yerevan’s Yerablur Military Pantheon, assuring that the border process fully complies with the Armenian legislation.
Grigoryan stated that the agreements on the delimitation process and its implementation are primarily aimed at the fundamental settlement of all pending problems.
The official refused to say whether the withdrawal of Azerbaijani troops from the areas close to the resort town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor Province was discussed at the meetings between the Armenian and Azerbaijani border commissions.
“The working procedure requires symmetrical, written and public comments on the matter. I’m not going to make any separate comments here,” he added.
