Armenian, Latvian FMs meet in New York
On the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Saturday met with his Latvian counterpart Baiba Braže.
The officials discussed a wide range of topics of mutual interest, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported.
“We continue developing our bilateral relations with EU member states, and there is a huge potential for further cooperation with Latvia. Therefore, I was glad to discuss ways to enrich the agenda between our two countries, as well as the prospects for deepening Armenia’s partnership with the EU. We can also effectively cooperate on multilateral platforms," Mirzoyan outlined.
The Armenian and Latvian foreign ministers also exchanged views on regional issues. Mirzoyan presented the efforts of Armenia aimed at establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus and the importance of singing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan without creating any artificial obstacles and without undue delay.
