Armenian SJC head not planning to resign
Karen Andreasyan has no plans to quit as chairman of Armenia’s Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) following the resignation of Justice Minister Grigor Minasyan, his friend and colleague.
"The tenure of the Supreme Judicial Council chair bears no relation to that of any government member or political processes,” his spokesperson, Mary Gevorgyan, said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Karen Andreasyan has no intention of resigning,” she added.
Andreasyan’s term of office expires on 6 October 2027.
