“We are delighted to host the WCIT Congress in Armenia for the second time. This year, the conference will open with a video greeting from American entrepreneur Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and X. The 2019 conference led to notable advancements in Armenia's IT sector, and I am confident that this year those achievements will be doubled,” said Alexander Yesayan, President of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).

Over four days, the event will feature a comprehensive high-level program that includes B2B meetings, innovation exhibits, business presentations, workshops, and more.

“This year's WCIT2024/DigiTec is set to be unprecedented in terms of speakers, participants, simultaneous events, exhibitions, and shows, as well as being several times larger in scale compared to previous years. We could not have achieved all of this without the support of our partners and sponsors,” said Sargis Karapetyan, CEO of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE), DigiTec.

As part of the conference, the WITSA World Cup (WWC) startup competition will be held, featuring startups selected from around 20 countries. The event will include innovative exhibitions, business presentations, seminars, and other activities. Representing Armenia in the competition will be the startups Text'nPayMe and AllClean. On October 7, the winner of the WITSA World Cup will also be announced.

Under the headline “THE POWER OF MIND: AI Beyond Limits, Within Ethics,” WCIT 2024/DigiTec will serve as a global platform to amplify the impact of information technologies, emphasizing the importance of applied sciences, investments, and presence across diverse regions and economies.

Thanks to the conference, many companies will discover the opportunities and potential to establish their scientific research centers. Moreover, it aims to underscore the pivotal role of applied sciences in fostering regional socioeconomic development through innovations and Tech solutions while also showcasing the future and advancements in technology, particularly in the realm of AI and the areas affected.

This year’s World Congress on Innovation and Technology will have an emphasis on AI and its societal impact, ethics, and future.

WCIT 2024/DigTec will be held in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Armenia, represented by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry.
