Political analyst calls for charges against Pashinyan over his war claims
Political analyst Stepan Danielyan insists on criminal charges against Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan following his claims of treason at the 2020 Artsakh war.
At a Q&A session in the parliament on Wednesday, Pashinyan claimed that he possessed a great deal of information on the 44-day war, adding "the entire law enforcement system doesn't have half of it."
“The prime minister states that he has such information about treason which the law enforcement authorities are unaware of. The law enforcement agencies fail to initiate criminal proceedings and summon the prime minister to deliver a testimony,” Danielyan wrote on Facebook on Friday.
“Thus, criminal charges must be brought not only against the prime minister for knowing about the treason and not reporting it to law enforcement, but also against law enforcement officials for their failure to issue a summons to the prime minister to testify,” he added.
