Opposition MP: Armenia-Azerbaijan 'diplomatic honeymoon turning into diplomatic duel'
Opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan has reacted to increasing diplomatic tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan amid Baku’s fresh threats.
“The diplomatic honeymoon between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been gradually turning into a diplomatic duel in recent weeks,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday.
The Pativ Unem faction MP said that more concessions by the Armenian government could trigger a major uproar inside the country, while Baku continues to impose new demands on Yerevan following its war victory in 2020.
“This situation has brought the sides to another deadlock which has a way out, but it will either entail new concessions from Armenia or could lead to border tensions,” Abrahamyan stated.
