Russia insists on its role in unblocking regional communications
Armenia has not officially withdrawn its signature from the 2020 trilateral agreement signed by Moscow, Baku and Yerevan, which helped establish a ceasefire in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), according to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.
At the same time, he stated that the trilateral working group has failed to achieve significant progress on unblocking regional communications for nearly a year and a half, TASS reported.
"Armenia hasn't formally withdrawn from the trilateral agreement or retracted its signature, but there has been virtually no movement within the working group at the level of deputy prime ministers for two years, or at least for a year and a half, since last summer," Overchuk said in an interview with Channel One on Wednesday.
The official emphasized that the unblocking of economic and transport corridors in the South Caucasus remains possible "only with Russia's involvement."
