Ex-Artsakh official: Rights of Armenian prisoners held in Baku grossly violated
Armenians around the world need to stand up for Armenian prisoners of war and Artsakh leaders illegally detained in Azerbaijan, former Artsakh parliament speaker Ashot Ghulyan said at a protest in Yerevan on Friday.
He hailed the protests in defense of Armenian poisoners outside the UN office and the foreign embassies in Yerevan initiated by Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan.
“It’s primarily a matter of human rights. Armenians are illegally detained in Baku, facing fabricated charges. Their rights have been grossly violated since their capture. No additional evidence is necessary. No information on the state of Armenian prisoners held in Baku was provided over the past year,” Ghulyan underscored.
