Former ombudspersons call for int'l efforts to release Armenian prisoners
Former human rights defenders of Armenia and Artsakh, as well as other politicians and public figures, on Friday gathered outside the UN office in Yerevan to demand efforts towards the immediate release of Armenian prisoners of war and hostages illegally held in Azerbaijan.
More protests are planned outside the Russian, U.S. and French Embassies later on Friday.
Former Artsakh Ombudspersons Yuri Hayrapetyan, Ruben Melikyan and Artak Beglaryan, as well as former Armenian Ombudsmen Arman Tatoyan and Larisa Alaverdyan, have joined the initiative.
