Pro-government MP nominated for justice minister
Armen Khachatryan, an MP representing Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract party, has confirmed to ArmLur.am that he has been nominated to become next justice minister.
“I was out of the country. I came back and learnt that my candidacy had been nominated,” the deputy said.
Asked if he accepted the nomination and was ready to work in the government, Khachatryan said, “Yes, if the board elects me, I am ready to move to the executive branch.”
The ministerial post remained vacant after Grigor Minasyan's resignation on October 1.
