MP slams 'dirty campaign' against Armenian opposition
Opposition lawmaker Tigran Abrahamyan hit out at the Armenian authorities for a “dirty campaign” targeting the opposition amid security threats facing Armenia.
“Azerbaijan is preparing for new pressure against Armenia, which could take any form, while the Armenian leader’s steps are solely aimed at maintaining his grip on power,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“Both the second and third presidents of Armenia, as well as all those who are active on social media and don’t remain indifferent to the fate of their country, are constantly in the crosshairs of the current government.
“Naturally, Serzh Sargsyan has long been immune to it, but for a proper assessment of political processes and an insight into their essence, it is necessary to clearly understand who agrees to join the game of power and become a tool for grip on power,” Abrahamyan penned.
