Yerevan Municipality bracing for potential floods amid heavy rain forecast
The Yerevan Municipality is bracing for possible flooding after torrential rain forecast for the Armenian capital late on Wednesday and in the next two days.
The Municipality and Veolia Jur company employees are taking preventive measures to mitigate the consequences of heavy rainfall, municipal spokesperson Hayk Kostanyan told Panorama.am.
“Starting from Wednesday evening, teams will be on duty in the administrative districts of Yerevan in order to promptly respond to and eliminate local problems," the spokesman said.
He urged people to avoid using personal vehicles.
